On the Boardwalk VBS 2027 is pointing the way to the most important friendship a child will ever discover: friendship with Jesus. Built on 1 John 4:7 and five powerful Bible stories, On the Boardwalk VBS invites children to step onto the pier and discover that loving others is exactly what Jesus had in mind.

What Children Will Experience at On the Boardwalk: Where Friendship Starts with Jesus VBS

At On the Boardwalk VBS, children, known as Pier Pals, step onto the boardwalk each day and into a world of games, crafts, music, science and Bible stories, all centered on one big idea: friendship with Jesus. At Assembly, Pier Pals meet the new Boardwalk Manager, who has just inherited the summer's biggest job, along with Taffy, a french fry-loving, wing-flapping, completely irresistible seagull puppet who may be a little silly and a little absent-minded but is still a great friend. The previous manager left behind five tickets, one for each day, each one unlocking a brand-new Friendship Focus. Together, Taffy, the Boardwalk Manager, and the Pier Pals work through every ticket. By the end of the week, they’ve discovered that the greatest friendships of all start with Jesus.

On the Boardwalk VBS helps every Pier Pal who walks in, whatever their background or story, discover a place where friendship with Jesus is for everyone.
